Firehouse Deli, 265 Mill St., Greenwich: They make chicken parmesan, corned beef, and meatball among an array of hot sandwiches and plenty of cold choices of "Italian Combo" or "Salads" , also paninis and wraps. 

"Best Deli everrrrrr. Sandwiches are amazing," enthuses a post by Warren H. of New York City on Yelp:

"I order from them every week. Must go with the wedge. They are humongous! Firehouse never short changes you on meat. A wedge can last me multiple meals!! Sandwiches are the highest quality." the review continues.

Magee's Curbside 72 Magee Ave., Stamford: This is a deli with "Things We Eat In the AM" sandwiches like "Pulled Pork" with scrambled eggs, cheddar, cooked onions, and bourbon barbecue sauce and "Things We Eat in the PM" such as "The Mother Clucker"  of fried fried chicken, burrata, tomatoes, lettuce, and pesto mayo on a toasted brioche bun.

Google reviewer Winfred Mitchell posted, "Great chorizo and egg sandwich."

Nick Namirez, also on Google says, "Best bacon egg and cheese I have ever had."

Genoa Deli & Pizza, 113 Danbury Road in Copps Hill Common, Ridgefield: It's a friendly town hallmark. This spacious deli has a massive lineup of hot and cold entrees you can eat inside or out. Sandwiches include "Timmy the Chicken" of chicken cutlets, bacon, Russian dressing, and melted muenster and "Italian Combo" of ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, and tomato.

Mariane Paradiso in a Google review says, "Great sandwiches and a large selection of sides. Everything's delicious!"

Winfield Street Coffee & Deli, 13 Post Road, Westport: It's a fast, casual eatery and takeout place with pastries, coffee, sandwiches, and salads. Sandwiches include a chicken cutlet or porchetta on a Portuguese roll, smoked turkey and brie, smoked salmon and spinach wraps.  There's a location at Ferguson Library, 96 Broad St. in Stamford.

On Facebook, Magdalena Martinez posted, "The grilled chicken sandwich is the best one in the city."

Gaetano's Deli, 1713 Post Road East, Westport: It's a Bronx style deli whose owners started working together on Arthur Avenue almost 25 years ago. Two other locations are in Monroe and Stratford.

Bruce Kolker on CT Bites on Facebook talked about their sandwiches in this post. "Start with bread from the Bronx, fresh hot food, stuffed sandwiches. I’m not usually a fan but the best eggplant parmigiana I’ve had."

Something Natural, 189 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich: It's the second location of a Nantucket sandwich shop serving varied sandwiches from tuna salad, to sprouts, vegetables and hummus, and liverwurst and onion or smoked turkey.

"The sandwich was (and still is) the best single sandwich I've ever had at any shop or deli anywhere. Ever. Will make the trip to you any time we can," says a reviewer, Connor Geary who noted in the post traveling two hours to enjoy their food previously eaten on Nantucket island.

The Village Table, 1056 Hope St., Springdale Shopping Center, Stamford:  Their sandwich meats are made in-house and include baked ham, roasted turkey and grilled roast beef made daily.

A Yelp review by Nick B. of Beacon Falls says, "Place makes great sandwiches. Usually, always go for breakfast and you can't go wrong with the price and size of the sandwich. Plus the staff is great and everyone's really nice. Can't go wrong with any meals here. Definitely, the place to go."
